betty_d: If you click into my profile and then on 'quotes contributed' you will find many lengthier quotes to type (including lots from Christopher Moore who I assume you like as you posted a quote by him yourself). However, if you're seeking to improve your typing speed for a job, I would suggest finding some typing tests that include numbers as most jobs will expect you to be proficient with typing numbers. I have found the following site to have quite a few quotes that contain numbes and I personally don't have any issues with the formatting of this site: http://www.typeonline.co.uk/typingspeed.php

Short stories! I am trying to improve my WPM for a job, but most tests are 5 minutes. I know other sites have short stories to type, but I haven't found one with a format that I like as much as keyhero. I know that this may mean getting approval from the authors, and I don't know what that entails. But longer texts to type would be helpful. Thanks for asking.
