I kind of hate to say it, but I disagree completely. I was taught to always look ahead to the next word unless the one you are on is very long or difficult for you. If you get stuck on the word you are typing, then that's just it, you are stuck; whereas, if you look to the next word, it gives you an edge by letting you know what is coming up. After awhile of working on it (in high school), it made perfect sense. At first, it was h-a-r-d!! But, as I made myself practice this method, I improved my speed greatly. And that's the difference in the way people type. You may, and probably do at this point, have a much higher speed than I do.. I haven't typed for speed and accuracy in about 15 years. I remembered though, as I took this test the first time, how much I really do love typing. :)

My tip to improve your typing speed is to... always look/think of the word you are typing and not to look ahead, as that is the number one issue that causes people to start typing the next word instead of the current one.
