Just because someone older than you tells you that you haven't experienced enough doesn't mean that they are 100% correct. They mostly haven't experienced things that you have either. Technology changes daily and advances hourly, so your experiences will differ greatly. They won't understand how to operate things, whilst you were born in the time that only knows how to operate in the new world.
