Text: Abode to myriad cultures and communities, Assam can today boast of remarkable progress in every sphere. However, the path to progress has not ever been smooth. For ages, the land of Assam has been invaded and vandalized, leaving its inhabitants terrorized and fear-struck. From the Burmese, the Moghuls, the British, the Chinese, to the insurgents and extremists in the last few decades, the people of Assam have remained victimized only to emerge back with courage and perseverance.
