Christian Theistic Ethics Preface - Cornelius van Til

This quote was added by rolando
Ethics deals with that aspect of human personality which we designate as the will. This distinguishes ethics from those sciences whose primary concern it is to deal with knowledge or with appreciation. Those sciences which deal chiefly with knowledge are based upon that aspect of man's personality which we call the intellect, while those sciences whose chief purpose it is to deal with appreciation are based upon that aspect of man's personality which we speak of as emotion or feeling.
