Text: The building was in a state of despair. Holmes walked up the ill-kept lawns and examined the outside of the windows. He asked Miss Stoner to go into her room and bar the shutters. She did so and though Holmes tried with all his strength to open them, he could not. We went inside. The room Miss Stoner occupied presently, had a low ceiling. A thick bell rope hung down beside the bed. Holmes pulled at it and found it was a dummy! It was fastened to a hook above a ventilator. Each paragraph will be a test.
