I am not really sure what this means. I have a feeling they are trying to say that all rich people are alone, and a person that is alone and poor is just a rich person without money. I think this bit is kinda valid, if that is what it is trying to say, but I don't think that people who are together are poor. They are less likely to be filthy rich, but they aren't poor.
