Text: Despite the importance of his own personal values in guiding his work, it may be argued that Skinner failed to produce an adequate account of values themselves. Nevertheless, a modern theoretically-derived behavioral approach to values does currently exist, and there is promising empirical support for its application to the alleviation of human suffering and the development of meaningful life patterns.
