We cannot rely on sight, for it can fool us. It can make us believe exactly what we want to believe. It becomes a traitor unto itself, changing from observing all to observing one. Our perspective changes, but what we cannot see never will, and if it does, we do not know, for we cannot see what lies ahead. The darkness is foreboding, unforgiving, scary, and always a bit unsure. But that's what makes it fun, isn't it? That's what makes us want to venture into it.
