Life is Hard - trublus10

This quote was added by trublus10
Life is hard. Harder than anyone bothered telling you about. You don't realize how hard it is until you are on your knees begging someone to make the pain stop. Down on your knees feeling like you are nothing to this world. A wasted shell of a man that is useless and will not become anything. I can't see the light; I can't feel anything. I am so weak it hurts to move and the only way to stop the pain is to end it all. But even after it is all said and done how do I know the pain the will end.

As an ER nurse who has done 3 rotations in mental health, I'm suggesting that your friend see a clinician. The feelings described are not simply of having a bad day, these are symptoms of untreated depression. Unless either you or your friend exaggerated, your friend needs help

Trusblus10, type away!

Yo im just going to let ya'll know this is not from me. This is an interpretation of what my friend told me. He is going through a rough spot in life right now and I helped him out. He said it was okay if I typed it too so don't worry. You also can't immediately blame these thoughts on health problems. Everyone has a shitty day and time period in life. Like Bob Ross himself said (roughly) ever light needs a little dark, all the good times needs a bad times. And right now hes waiting on the good ones. Thank you for caring enough to argue with each other though was entertaining to read. I'll go write another quote about why do people think they always have to argue. Why can't we just all get along?

I have to be honest here, I don't like you - precisely because you are you. You're a rambling megalomaniac that seems to feel nothing for his fellow human being.
bvw 5 years, 3 months ago
That's because it is all about me! You like me because I am me. I like you because you are you. SO it is also about you, completely. So too, trublus10. @ or not @. To be or not to be. Of the two choices I choose B.

What are you going on about now @bvw? Do you realize that you just typed out an entire paragraph about yourself? I don't care what you've studied - none of it has helped you to become a decent human being with a basic understanding or concern for the state/condition of others. You are callous, uninformed and appear to get off on self-aggrandizing rants. I don't think there's any room for your ego on this site - there's certainly no room for it in my life - so I will bid you, once more, a good day and ask that you not attempt further discourse with me on this matter

Can I talk about Physics? I know that well, but I know depression, schizophrenia and bipolar from life. You see I studied advanced math (very advanced), physics, geology, antropology, political science, French, Latin, Spanish, German, Hebrew, Greek, Hindi, Industrial Hydraulics, Electical Engineering, System Engineering, English compostion, Japanese, Chinese, and some other stuff, in school or online. And I've lived some of that learning, meaning applying it in reality. The real world. Now the head stuff, I had to learn to survive and help my family survive. That's like my martial arts: learned the hard way.

You have your head in the sand @bvw and have no knowledge of mental health issues whatsoever. Do some research on depression and schizophrenia and then we'll talk again. There's no point in my conversing with someone who doesn't understand that people with mental health issues cannot simply "control their own thoughts" and that they could simply "will" themselves to get better. I'm done with this conversation - everything you have said is completely obtuse and insulting. I bid you a good day

You're really going off track as you usually do @bvw. Of course no one wants to see or hear suffering, but the fact is that it remains a part of most people's life at some point and to some extent. This person is clearly suffering from depression and needs a mental health intervention and you don't need to make things worse for them by being an asshole to them. This world needs more Mother Teresa's and less @bvws in it. You may wish to also educate yourself as people with depression cannot simply "control their own thoughts". And as per the rules of this site, please refrain from the god talk.

"The suffering of others": continued. Yet motive lacks for the most suffering, they often have no motive of will -- you have mentioned monetary or social resources, but the greater lask in i think all cases is that of will.

SO where there is no will, without challenge, without force, without threat -- one dies, wastes away. Will must be had for life.

So a helper, a fellow human, will provoke, challenge, force, threaten, etc. the despairing that they might rediscover their will. That means *seeming* to be negative. But it is not.

"The suffering of others". No one, except the greatly depraved, or who get temproarily caught in a pit of depravity -- say hanging our with the wrong people, or hanging out the "wrong" thoughts -- wants to see or hear suffering. Babies know this by nature (and the planning of Nature's God) when they cry and sob: the crying and sobbing of babes, even animal babies, is awful for both humans and animals and provokes, by nature, a caring response.

Yet even the most depressed and depraved can control their own thoughts. But in the worst of states: only with help, either "accident of nature" or human help. That's whay it helps -- a lot -- for the depressed and beset to get out into nature. And why the original sanitariums and health resorts are located in places where nature's beaury or serenity is undeniable, striking. God meant for the beauties of nature to help relieve pain.
weesin 5 years, 3 months ago
Of course there's no cost to looking at nature - but there is a cost to just simply getting up and travelling or moving as you mention below

I have to absolutely agree with you though - I'm the kind of person who is made uncomfortable by the emotional gushings of others and would prefer to not see them on this site. My point is that suffering of others (as uncomfortable and distasteful as one might find it) warrants kindness and humanity, not derision
bvw 5 years, 3 months ago
There's no cost to looking at nature. And no cost to appreciating it.

Yet remember thr purpose of this site: the learn and improve typing skills. While the ability to be unmoved and untouched by horrible emotions or even the most gruesome of crime reports has some tie to typing skills, it's not in the scope of the site's purpose or much considerate of others to turn the quote system into your own personal depravity zone or crying towel.
weesin 5 years, 3 months ago
I'm sorry @bvw, but I think you're being quite cruel here. Rather than berating someone who clearly suffers from mental health issues, simply encourage them to make this cry for help in the office of their health care provider rather on this site

Have you considered that financial constraints or a lack of education might preclude this individual from taking some of the advice you mention below?
bvw 5 years, 3 months ago
You are making life hard for yourself. Stop it.

What is the purpose of your sharing such hopelessness? Of course the pain might end? Who knows. But even if it doesn't. You have imaginatiion, you can imagine hope, you have eyes, you can see flowers and beauty of nature. You can travel, move, get out of the place where your funk captures and chains you down.
