I disagree. The spirit is not a substance, so its constitution can hardly be pointed out. The rest of the questions I think that could be answered with "love"; however, I prefer to define love not as a feeling, but as the idea of another. What do I mean with that? I mean that love is acknowledging others' existence and experiences, that those things are sacred as one's own, and that we should fight for that as long as it doesn't hinder ours.
You know, I've just realized that the spirit is made of experiences and "qualias", so it can go along with my definition of love. So in the end, I somehow agree with the quote.
