Text: Beamon watches as the judge take the unusual step of bringing out a tape measurer. After twenty entire minutes, the distance is officially announced. Eight point nine meters. Like most Americans he doesn't quite understand how far that is and when someone tells him the distance in feet and inches, he is no closer to understanding. Each paragraph will be a test.
