My tip to improve your typing speed is to read the words instead of each letter. You achieve this after you have done a lot of typing practice. When you notice that you type the words fastly but have frequent pauses, or your error rate increases, then you should try this. By this time the words are in your muscle memory and would just come off in units as you read them. The result would be a marked improvement in your typing speed.

I've never thought so much about it. I think I'm more of a letter person

Wait, this isn't how everyone does it? I don't think I've ever gone letter by letter. Word by word just makes so much more sense I figured that was the norm. What do the majority of users do? Letters or words?
