Text: The Belgian Shepherd Dog has a history stretching back to the Middle Ages, but in the 1890s the breed was differentiated into three separate coat types and four coat-colour patterns. The basic body shape of each of these types remains the same, however. Each of the four types of Belgian Shepherd is named after a region in Belgium. These are the Groenendael; the Tervueren; the Malinois and the Laekenois. All of these dogs are sheepdogs and guards, but they are increasingly seen as pet dogs, too. Each paragraph will be a test.
