80 wpm

Hello! I made a post one time, talking about that I had 90-100 wpm regularly and I had 129 wpm once, and now I have a problem, I have bad accuracy, around of 80-85 and cant reach more than 100 I have around 80% accuracy and before i had around 92% or better.

Can someone give me tips about getting more wpm or something?
cat30wpm, I've had problems with being too fast and not accurate enough. The way got better was using the Instant Death Test. It was miserable! I wouldn't get a single flipping 100% without going as slow as a snail, but soon my brain would focus on getting faster. And both my accuracy and speed increased. Then I hoped on normal testing and I got a relatively short test, maybe 2 sentences long. And I did it at 100 WPM with 100 accuracy!!!!!!!!!! That's super fast for me with an average 72 WPM.

tldr: USE INSTANT DEATH TEST!

Don't type to fast in the beginning, don't look at the keyboard when typing and keep at a steady speed until you can work up. That's all I can say I went from 35 wpm to 60 wpm.

That's actually the problem, if u read the post (all the post) it says that I went from 90-100 wpm, max 129 to 80-85 and I can't get the wpm that I used to have and I don't have to look at the keyboard (I have a PC since I was 6 y/o (I'm 13)

Hello, I average 110 wpm and max 153 wpm. I find that I differ a lot on how I type depending on the mood I am on. When I am nice and relaxed, I can spit out 120+ wpm consistently. But when I feel rushed and anxious about typing faster, I end up averaging a bit over 100 wpm. When I start doing bad I just stop typing and try later.

I don't know if this is the problem you are having, but consider trying to relax and not caring as much.

I wish I knew, haha, I've been plateaued at 80wpm for a long time. My two different practice methods are now, 1) type slowly at a consistent cadence with no errors, (at about %70 of max speed), and 2) type some really easy sentences (e.g. "this is that and that is this and .... ) at max speed to train my finger speed, as I can type this kind of easy sentence at over %150 my average speed.

The keyboard you use can be a factor too.
