Any Typing Tips?

I have been practicing a ton each day for about a week now, but remained at the same level... Who has some typing tips to share?
Type everything instead of writing by hand, if you have the choice. And also try and force yourself not to look when you type if you can. It really speeds you up if you master it.

It'll be a slow process for sure!! Keep at it and make sure you're enjoying your practice. Try not to make typing a chore or you'll never get anywhere. First focus on accuracy and then gradually build speed over time. Don't worry though, you'll get there.

Also try to work on technique if you're really new. Make sure your fingers are in the right positions and making the right movements. It's better to learn technique now before you learn to type the wrong way.

jordanresh really had some good advice, but your speed makes me wonder: Are you touch typing? I mean using all 10 fingers, without looking at the keyboard. Because that's the very first thing you should learn... there's no sense in practicing if you're using a 2 to 4 finger hunt-and-peck method.
