Favorite quotes?

I'm sure there's already a forum like this somewhere, but I can't be bothered to go fish it out so here's a new one. What are your favorite types of quotes? What quotes will always get an upvote from you no matter what? Which do you hate? Which ones get the downvote and skip from you?
For me, I'm usually annoyed by user-submitted quotes. It may sound a little harsh but more often than not they're usually something a bit edgy or something scratching the profound but have been said before and better. Uhh, quotes from ""those"" types of TV shows also sort of bother me, like Gray's Anatomy. Always seems a bit melodramatic for my tastes?? Not that I mind melodrama, I quite like it now and then, but I like my melodrama pretentious and subtextual, y'know? I'm also not a big fan of the "be happy and life is nice!" quotes, mostly because I'm a killjoy who sleeps under a wet blanket.
My favorite sorts of quotes are excerpts from novels, particularly ones that have good imagery. I like me a good Shakespeare when I see one and I have a massive weak-spot for Oscar Wilde, I will never be able to not upvote something by him. I also really like a lot of movies and if I come across a quote from one of those, that'll make me happy.
