Is there a point to flagging quotes?

I have been regularly flagging quotes that I've noticed break site rules -- e.g. are song lyrics, etc. Can I expect actions to be taken on these quotes? Like are there moderators that go through and look at flagged quotes? Trying to make sure I'm not wasting my time here.
Ah, that makes a lot of sense. But quotes can be edited for spelling and bad punctuation, right? Are those also handled by mods?

Probably not, as these are not site rules anymore. The only two rules that are listed when submitting a quote are; "Quotes shouldn't contain newlines" and "Make sure the quote has no spelling error or bad punctuation."
That being said, I am sure the moderators remove any quotes that they deem unfit, and they are likely notified of flagged quotes.

You can edit quotes and mods will review your edit if it has punctuation or spelling errors.

The site seemed to be actively moderated 6-7 years ago, but the ownership has changed since then. At this point just down-vote the bad quotes and hope others do as well.

Quotes, comments, and the site still continue to be moderated. Thanks for your help!

Just wanted to reiterate though that song lyrics and religious subject matter are no longer prohibited. Obscene, vulgar, or illegal quotes should still be flagged though. Thank you!
