Just a helpful tip.

Hello typists!

I found out something that has worked well for me and I thought I would share it for those who may find it useful.

Since joining this site, I wanted to mainly work on my accuracy, since I don't use touch typing or any kind of tradition finger placements. I found it hard to achieve 100% often, but one thing that has helped a ton was sitting with good posture.

When I am on a computer I am usually slumped in a chair, but if I correct my posture and sit up straight, it generally helps me focus on my muscle memory, and achieve 95-100% accuracy with ease.

This^^^!

I find that many desks and chairs in life are grossly mismatched for typing as well, with my arms much too high to comfortably hover my hands over the keys. My desk at work is awful and I cannot raise my chair high enough, my legs hit the drawer. Luckily typing is not a major part of my daily routine.

Yeah, it's definitely not a fun experience when you can't achieve a comfortable and efficient typing position. At least you said typing isn't a big role in your daily work, but I can understand it being frustrating once you do have to type.

Fortunately I am pretty short so most work desks/chairs are compatible with me, aside from my last job where all the chairs leaned back way too easily, and I would lose my balance while sitting upright haha.
