Negative reviews?

To people who review quotes negatively, why? There are a lot of quotes that I type that annoy me due to their difficulty, but never to the point that I would go out of my way to rate them. Why do people decide that a quote is bad enough to be rated negatively? Does it say something offensive? Is it just that frustrating? Please answer!

Sometimes I do come across quotes which are really grammatically incoherent and with tons of spelling errors, and those ones are usually really frustrating to type. However I don't like to rate them negatively, I just go to the quote page and suggest an edit. Overall though, I rate almost every quote I come across a 4 or 5.

It just depends. I mostly rate things 5 stars, though.

I generally rate things 3-4 stars. If a quote is really terrible (bad grammar, bad taste, etc.) then I give it 1-2 stars. One of my pet peeves is song lyrics; I don't like them so I usually give them a lower rating overall (or just neglect to rate them). I think rating things are important so I rate pretty much every quote I type out. I often leave comments on quotes too.
My advice for preventing your quote from getting rated negatively is that I think most people don't leave ratings unless they really like the quote or they really hate it (or they just default to 5 stars on all quotes). So as long as a quote is formatted correctly and not "controversial" then it shouldn't get bad ratings.
