one word at a time or read ahead?

Hello! I have been on this site a handful of weeks to improve my typing skills, but really have to polish up my speed and accuracy (mainly) for a new job. I have never had any formal lessons but am a strong typist. So I have some technique questions. I think right now I am mainly wondering, should I try and read ahead as a best practice for typing or is it best to focus on just one word at a time? Thank you!
If you aim for a higher accuracy, focusing on word per word will be best but it will cost you your speed. Yes it will be best practicing reading ahead.
