"Slower is faster!"

The absolute easiest and most effective way to improve your speed AND accuracy is to start by focusing only on accuracy. Avoid making ALL mistakes while you type. Don't worry AT ALL about typing fast. Just type without making mistakes.
Force yourself to see the keys on the keyboard in your head for each character you're typing. Never look at your hands or the keyboard. EVER!
Go slow. Give your mind the time it needs to connect the virtual keyboard in your mind with the individual characters on the screen (including punctuation and spacing/double spacing).

NEVER read what you're typing! If you're reading you're distracted and not using your full potential for typing. The validation of this is neatly and clearly indicated by the fact that your speed and accuracy are measured and not comprehension, punctuation, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, memory, etc.

Second step, type slower than the fastest you can type at 100% accuracy and at the steadiest pace you can possibly do. The sound your keys make at this pace should be one steady rhythm of tapping with no gaps, pauses or breaks.
Touch the keys as lightly and quietly as you can. Only hard enough to type the letters. Slamming the keys requires more movement, energy, and time which ends up causing slower speeds.

Then slow down just enough to FEEL like your going too slow. By this point you’re perfectly primed to steadily increase your speed. Your TOP speed is what you set it as before you start. Set a specific speed as your goal and don’t watch your speed. Your subconscious will get you there for you and without you knowing it.

Trust me, you won't FEEL yourself get faster. But, before you know it you'll be burning the keys with your rapidly developing typing speed.

Thanks for the tips! my typing speed significantly increases with less errors. My goal is to achieve zero error if I can.

Yes I read it and used it and I became better and just a bit faster. I might be getting better by a bit but it works.

I agree and I will try to do this, as I get very nervous every time I see a red char painted by my lost control, and this completely breaks my pace. I found out a cool feature in the site that will allow me to calm down my eagerness to type fast, and focus on 100% accuracy: that's the "instant death typing test" ( https://www.keyhero… )

Just an update: I tried the "instant death typing test" mode - it's AWESOME! I suggest who is serious about improving their typing skills give it a try (particularly if your focus is on accuracy rather than speed). Thanks very much for introducing me to this new type of test!
