What do you do when you just can't hit the right keys?

My average is around 70, but sometimes for some reason, I really really struggle to do well and can't manage past 50s. And I don't want to stop but it's incredibly frustrating to fail so much so often.

Any advice?
I can totally relate! I've been on this site nearly a year and it's completely the reason my speed sticks frequently! Doesn't seem to matter if I go fast or slow or focus on accuracy or speed, there's just some days or times when fingers go the wrong way.
I worked with a typing coach briefly and he had me practicing letters in columns instead of rows which helps but hasn't fully eliminated the problem. If you find any good solutions I'm all ears! Sorry I can't be of more help but I can definitely share your pain! So frustrating!

Keep practicing! You seem to have a steady upwards trend on your profile, so it looks promising.
Try to type at a steady speed, not trying to go very fast and then making typos.
