Wonderful game, but marking is not great

If I do a mistake and then choose not to correct it then everything else goes wrong dipping my score. Not representing true performance.
Eg suppose had to type: How are you there?

I typed Hw are you there?
then my word count would be 0.
Yeah, I totally agree with you.

It does not represent any true measure of performance. We all want to type fast, but this game is not for that **

In your example, it would be fair to be counted as say 3, instead of 0. Just keeping going with a minor error is Okay in a real life too. There are many way to detect and fix errors later.

It comes down to this: Do you like correcting your mistakes while typing or do you like to just type sloppy and correct things at the end of your session. If you prefer to work the latter way, this site won't help you much. I like that it forces you to correct mistakes though, since it makes you type as accurately as possible and thereby doesn't foster bad habbits.

From experience, I must say that you don't always find all your typos when you're proofreading texts you have written, so avoiding them in the first place is the superior method.

I've been typing here for quite a while and it aims to improve your accuracy not just improving the "typing speed." If you can observe, one mistake will drastically change your WPM, which helps because you will focus on your accuracy the next test.
