I was born, some crap happened, and now I am here. On daily bases, I use Apple keyboard with qwerty layout. I also have a WASD keyboard that I set up with Dvorak layout. I am still learning it. I decided to learn touch typing back in 2012, at 31. There were few online programs and games that I tried, but the only one that I liked was Stamina typing tutor. You can get it for free from typingsoft.com. Their website suggested some sort of “Kazantsev” typing approach if you find regular arm position uncomfortable. So that's what I do. On qwerty layout, it says to place left hand on v, f, d, and s; and my right hand on n, j, k, and l. But since 2012 my typing speed hasn't improved much, so here I am to improve it. Besides Keyhero, I am also back on Stamina software. Unfortunately, it's only on Windows. No nix love I guess. |
