When my fingers hurt after too much time on the keyboard, I think back, what did I do wrong? Typically I have not done one of a few things: Not kept my hands warm, took my laptop and sat on the couch (i.e. bad position), or didn't take routine breaks. I then promise myself I will not do it again... at least until next time.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is getting blank keycaps.

I'm beginning to no longer be totally frustrated when I sit down to type... but only beginning...

Learning a new keyboard and layout at the same time is taking longer than anticipated.

I love keyboards. I have also used the Qwerty, Dvorak and Workman layouts although due to the difficulty in changing the key caps on various laptops I've had, I always wind up going back to Qwerty.

Switching to Colemak keyboard 9/8/2016.

Switching back to Qwerty layout, but keeping the new keyboard. Going to learn one at a time. 9/30/2016.

Switching to Colemak and staying with it this time? 10/11/2017

Using a home made, hand wired split keyboard.
