Lo que realmente me ayudó a mejorar mi velocidad de escritura es comenzar sin prisa y a corregir la forma de colocar los dedos para evitar moverme en exceso por el teclado. A la larga es mucho más rápido usar los dedos correctamente y no desplazarse demasiado para no perder la referencia de las teclas.
