Linear switches are the best for typing. You also need a mix of tactile switches in there too though. Like all my letter and number keys are linear, but my spacebar is tactile. It just feels so much better.

What really helped me improve my typing speed is getting a better keyboard. For instance, a mechanical keyboard. It has red switches. Also, practice a lot. Like I do. :)
