What really helped me improve my typing speed is... concentrating on accuracy! Just like when learning the guitar, one must focus on accuracy rather than speed at FIRST, and then, with practice, the typing speed will flow more organically, and you'll have speed AND accuracy.

Practice really helps me improve my typing speed. That, and upright posture, concentration, and practice, practice, practice.
