- We must learn to live fully
We must learn to live fully and joyfully in the here and now, setting aside all our pain from the past and all our worries about the future. Fulton Oursler said, "We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow." If we live in the past or in the future, we miss what today has to offer. We miss the glistening beauty of a puddle of water. We miss the soothing melody of a love song. We miss the glint of wonder in a child's eyes.
Elie Wiesel
We must not see any person as an abstraction. Instead, we must see in every person a universe with its own secrets, with its own treasures, with its own sources of anguish, and with some measure of triumph.
