I've tested it a little bit. I have noticed that I miss-click a whole lot more when I have longer fingernails. In my experience you lose a bit of the feel of the keyboard and it's harder to find keys sometimes when the tips of your fingers don't have as much contact with the keyboard.

Not necessarily true, since if you type random words, it exercises different configurations of finger movements for the string of keys. Surely I can type "the" very quick but if I have to transpose homework or type whatever someone is saying aloud, its typically not the same words over and over again.

How entitled are you, friend? I happen to be ambivalent to the inspirational quotes, but clearly many people enjoy them. Who are you to order anyone around? Just go and type the Bee Movie script. Download a PDF and have the time of your life. No one cares that it bothers you, nor should they. Inspirational quotes do you no real harm, unless they're getting in the way of an attempt to escape reality. In which case, there are plenty of other, less interactive options for you to do just that.
