I'm pretty sure that I'll still remember this day even ten years from now. But... I'm sure I'll start to forget, little by little. The name of the bus stop we got off at today. The color of the sweater I was wearing. The words that were popular between the two of us at the time. I'm sure I'll start forgetting those things, little by little. Apparently, that's called loneliness. One day, atop a burning, blinding stage, I'll learn that for myself.

For as long as I could remember, everything happened within that little world of ours. Especially with Mafuyu and Yuki, who were latchkey kids with single moms. They were both missing something from the start. It was like they each had what the other was lacking, so Yuki needed Mafuyu, and Mafuyu needed Yuki. They just gave the impression that they were made for each other. Yuki was flashy, domineering and moody. Mafuyu was docile, introverted and quiet.

I think I learned some things about love, too. It doesn't look the same for everyone. It can come in so many forms. And how can there be anything wrong with a life if it's spent with a person you love?

I have the following thoughts, to offer. First, you can get married any time in your life, if you choose to do so. And two, if you choose a career, you can buy a white dress yourself, have it made to order and wear it whenever you want.

I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.

Still, I pictured having you for fifty, sixty more years. I thought I might be ready then to let you go. But it's you, and I realize now that I won't be any more ready to lose you than I am right now. Which is not at all.

It was only six months after their parabatai ceremony, and it was the biggest mistake he'd ever made, and totally irrevocable. And every time he saw Emma after that it was like a knife in his chest, but a knife whose pain he welcomed. A blade whose hilt he held in his own hand, pressed against his own heart, and nothing and no one could have taken it away from him.

Looking at her, he was in London again. He saw the gaslight and smelled the smoke and dirt and horses, the metallic tang of fog, the flowers in Kew Gardens. He saw a boy with black hair and blue eyes like Alec's, heard violin music like silver water. Saw a girl with long brown curls and a serious face. In a world where everything went away from him eventually, she was one of the few remaining constants.

My heart tells me this is the best and greatest feeling I have ever had. But my mind knows the difference between wanting what you can't have and wanting what you shouldn't want. And I shouldn't want you.
Iron Man
The difference between Iron Man and some of the other movies is that there's no spider bite; there's no magic bullet where a hero is born. We had to build him. We wanted people to remember that there's a person inside that suit, and it will hurt if he falls.
Captain America
But the price of freedom is high. It always has been. And it's one I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not.

Each day means a new twenty-four hours. Each day means everything's possible again. You live for the moment, you die in the moment, you take it all in one day at a time. You try to walk in the light.

I need help. I need to cross a border that's hard to define. Maybe you know what I'm talking about? Or you don't, but... you feel it. Because you've felt other borders, like youth and adulthood, maybe. I can't change your fate... but I can help you meet it. We begin our journey to the border tonight. Midnight. The unfinished house at the edge of Crestwood View. Don't come unless you leave your front door open. You have to invite me in.

The future is dark. Not dark, like, bad. Just dark. You can't see it. And maybe living is just... bringing light to what you need in a day. Just... seeing the day.
