I have doubts about myself, we all do. We are told to be our true selves because people in this world won't like our true selves anyway. In a perfect world, I wouldn't have to care about what people think of me. In a perfect world, I wouldn't need to fear all the things that made me create the boundaries I have put up for myself to this day.
