Copy control in sales order processing is used by the system to determine what document types, item categories, and schedule line categories (the three tiers of the sales order) may be copied into each other. For example, when we copy from a quote to an order, from an order to a delivery, or from a delivery to an invoice. This permits all three tiers of data to be copied into sales, delivery and billing documents (including contracts, schedule agreements etc).
