My accuracy fluctuates a lot, on a good day it hovers around 97-98%, however on other days it can drop to only around 90%. I'll definitely need to work on my consistency for the time being.

But yay! No more exams! No more calculus and chemistry for the next two weeks!

Ayyyy, that's an amazing improvement, especially for just a few days of practice! Remember that progress is not linear, so don't beat yourself up if you feel like you're not making any progress. It'll be a lot more satisfying when you do eventually break that barrier!

Then again, it was around a few days ago of actually learning,

Yeah, I feel like trying to avoid long/difficult quotes does more harm than good, because ultimately, when you're typing on your computer, you probably will type more than just a simple sentence or two. A lot of the times you have to write entire emails, essays, reports etc., and since I'm a university student, I feel like typing long quotes help build my momentum and allow me to not get tired out whenever I have to type long paragraphs.

I'm really looking forward to winter break! All my classes have been absolutely crushing me and I got my first final exam in two days x.x

Hey, no worries! It sometimes takes me days, or even weeks to respond so some messages I get. I absolutely hate this habit, but I'm trying to get rid of that by taking little steps!

I'm not too familiar with alternate keyboard layouts, since I've been using Qwerty for my entire life. I think that some alternate layouts are definitely more optimized for typing than QWERTY (meaning that you don't have to move your fingers as much), and I did almost switch to Colemak a few years ago, but in the end I stuck with Qwerty. If you think that an alternative layout is for you, feel free to give it a try! You can always switch back to qwerty if you feel like it's not working out for you.

I think I'll try typing a bit slower from now on to improve my accuracy. I find that if I maintain 98%+ accuracy, I can quite consistently break 140wpm, so I think that's the next thing I should work on!

My hands seem to get tired easily... I wonder why. This is probably where I would take a break, and get back to typing eventually.

Honestly, you're getting pretty close to 100 WPM! Your accuracy is pretty good, so that's already something you're doing better than me. I think one of the most important thing is to not get discouraged, because the faster you type, the slower your improvement will be. It took me 4 years to get from 100 wpm to 130 wpm qwq, but I believe you'll be able to break that barrier a lot faster than I did!
