What is eternity? We try to comprehend a concept we have no experience with; an idea only fathomable in theory. We often say something is "taking forever" if the time frame exceeds our expectations, but are still aware of the finality of the situation. A trillion years from now may seem like an eternity away, but these two measurements of time are vastly disproportionate.

What place do horror films have in the human life, where life itself supplies ample fears? We seek enjoyment in terrors and tortures at the expense of fictional characters, yet shudder at the idea of affliction touching our own lives. Human reasoning astounds me.
