- Gambler's Fallacy
A coin is flipped three times and lands on heads on each occasion. Suppose someone forces you to spend thousands of dollars of your own money betting on the next toss. Would you bet on heads or tails? If you think like most people, you will choose tails, although heads is just as likely. The gambler's fallacy leads us to believe that something must change.

Fight may have shaped the evolution of the human hand, according to a new study by a US team. The University of Utah researchers used instruments to measure the forces and acceleration when martial artists hit a punch bag. They found that the structure of the fist provides support that increases the ability of the knuckles to transmit "punching" force. Details have been published in the Journal of Experimental Biology.

- Swimmer's Body Illusion
Whenever we confuse selection factors with results, we fall prey to what is called the swimmer's body illusion. Without this illusion, half of advertising campaigns would not work. For example, Harvard has the reputation of being a top university. Many highly successful people have studied there. Does this mean that Harvard is a good school? We don't know. Perhaps the school is terrible, and it simply recruits the brightest students around. Most probably is the rigorous selection.
David
- A psalm 138 p2
Yes, they will sing about your ways, for the glory from you is very great. Though the LORD is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud. Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me. You will work out your plans for my life. Don't abandon me, for you made me.
David
- A psalm 138 p1
I give you thanks with all my heart; I will sing your praises before the gods. I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name. As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength. Every king in all the earth will thank you, for all of them will hear your words.

- Helper
He is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! A river brings joy ... Come, see how he brings destruction upon the world.

- Psalms 47 part 1
Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King over all the earth. Praise him with a psalm. God reigns above the nations, sitting on his holy throne. The rulers of the world have gathered together with the people of the God of Abraham. For all the kings of the earth belong to God. He is highly honored everywhere.

- Psalms 47 part 1
Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise! For the LORD Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth. He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet. He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance, the proud possession of Jacob's descendants, whom he loves. God has ascended with a might shout. The LORD has ascended with trumpets blaring.

Mathematical knowledge adds vigour to the mind, frees it from prejudice, credulity, and superstition. I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. A formal manipulator in mathematics often experiences the discomforting feeling that his pencil surpasses him in intelligence. The study of mathematics cannot be replaced by any other activity that will train and develop man's purely logical faculties to the same level of rationality.
