It was a demon; long and lanky; six and a half feet at least. It looked like it was assembled by someone who had all the body parts for a human but didn't know what one looked like. His shoulders hunched forward so that his profile resembled that of a vulture praying upon an innocent rodent. His features sharp and angular and the hollows of his cheekbones accentuated like a starved cartoon character. A sinister grin of crooked grey teeth which tapered into needle-like points.

They didn't realise they'd been running after the voices until they were out of breath, hearts thumping out of their chests, dark wine blood rushing profusely around their fragile frames beneath tissue paper-thin skin. They reached an unfamiliar lake they'd never seen before and an unnerving silence fell upon the two. The sight completely blocked out the silence and left the pair in awe.
