The sun beat down on the back of my skull, seemingly tearing a hole in the fabric of my clothing, the only thing keeping me up being the minuscule, sandy flask of water strapped to my waistline. Gosh, I wish I had my shoes. They were abandoned a few miles back - the sole had basically disintegrated, but the cover for the tops of my feet would've been nice. I mustn't give up though. The man said it would only be a few more minutes from here, right?
