Text: I loved my barncats. Alas, they have all passed away. They were good cats. Smart and witty and sly. They did their job, and more. They fixed my broken heart as if their purring and playful antics were glue and tape to ease invisible pain away. One passed because of old age. She was a respectful cat, always caught her share of mice. The other three were not so wise. They had attempted to cross the road to the farm on the other side. They never made it.
