Death is inspiring, unrelenting, and one of the most significant problems that civilization faces. We must confront the fact that we humans are made of machinery, brilliant in its construction yet fundamentally composed of explainable and thus controllable things like cells, tissues, and DNA, which are all repairable with the requisite knowledge. This type of optimism is baked within the idea of reason, that we can make unlimited knowledge if we solve problems.
