Text: At night, there comes laughter from behind the locked door at the back of our dining room. We are never meant to open that door during periods of laughter. My mother - a skeptic who lacked any and all imagination - thought there was some reasonable explanation to it all. She looked behind the door one night, and never returned to bed.
