Loki (The Avengers)
- Life's Great Lie
I am burdened with glorious purpose. I bring glad tidings of a world made free from freedom. Freedom is life's greatest lie. Once you accept that, in your heart, you will know peace.
Tom Lehrer
- Poisoning Pigeons In The Park?!
All the world seems in tune on a spring afternoon when we're poisoning pigeons in the park. Every Sunday you'll see my sweetheart and me as we poison the pigeons in the park! When they see us coming, the birdies all try and hide but they still go for peanuts when coated with cyanide. The sun's shining bright everything seems all right when we're poisoning pigeons in the park!

- Is it a lie?
Misconceptions can be easily misconstrued at any possible angle. Truth is facts perceived differently. Isn't this so? Do you think that makes the truth a lie or is the lie really the truth?
Jake Bohm (TOUCH)
- The Human Voice
The human voice is the greatest instrument in the world. We are compelled to listen when we hear it, even though there are other noises all around us.

- Another Note: The Los Angeles BB Case
I hardly need to remind the reader about the epic battle between the century's greatest detective, L, and that grotesque murderer, Kira. All Kira accomplished was another reign of terror and a pathetically infantile way of thinking. Perhaps these gods actually wanted a blood-soaked world of betrayal and false accusation. Who knows? I, for one, have no intention of wasting any more time thinking about this most negative series of events.

- Liars are the Worst.
Lying monsters are a real nuisance. They are much more cunning than other monsters. They pose as humans even though they have no understanding of the human heart. They eat even though they've never experienced hunger. They study even though they have no interest in academics. They seek friendship even though they do not know how to love. If I were to encounter such a monster, I would likely be eaten by it. Because in truth, I am that monster.
Death Note Volume 12: Finish
- Death is Equal
There truly is no heaven or hell. No matter who you are or what you do while you're alive, everybody goes to the same place once you die. Death is Equal.
L Lawliet
The most intelligent people disguise the fact that they are intelligent. Wise men do not wear name tags. The more people talk about their own skills, the more desperate they are - their work should speak for itself.
