MLB Rules
- Balk Definition
A balk occurs when a pitcher makes an illegal motion on the mound that the umpire deems to be deceitful to the runner. As a result, any men on base are awarded the next base, and the pitch (if it was thrown in the first place) is waved off for a dead ball. Exactly what constitutes a balk is summed up in section 8 of the MLB rules, which describes a legal pitching delivery.

- Turbo Encabulator
The original machine had a base plate of pre-famulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing in such a way that the two spurving bearings were in a direct line with the panametric fan. The latter consisted simply of six hydrocoptic marzlevanes, so fitted to the ambifacient lunar waneshaft that side fumbling was effectively prevented.

Then he remembered that his library card had been revoked.

- Don Quixote
When life itself seems lunatic, who knows where madness lies? Perhaps to be too practical is madness. To surrender dreams - this may be madness. Too much sanity may be madness - and maddest of all: to see life as it is, and not as it should be!

- A Confederacy of Dunces
The only excursion of my life outside of New Orleans took me through the vortex to the whirlpool of despair: Baton Rouge... New Orleans is, on the other hand, a comfortable metropolis which has a certain apathy and stagnation which I find inoffensive.

- The Frontier Was Everywhere
We were hunters and foragers. The frontier was everywhere. We were bounded only by the earth, and the ocean, and the sky. The open road still softly calls. Our little terraqueous globe as the madhouse of those hundred thousand millions of worlds. We, who cannot even put our own planetary home in order, riven with rivalries and hatreds; are we to venture out into space?
