Learning about the Gwangju uprising is one of the things in my life that shames me for my nonexistent passions and accomplishments. Rising against the militant government of South Korea in 1980, a singular city waged an all-out war against an armed militant force that brutalized its own citizens. The city was overtaken by the rebellion forces made up of college students and soon joined by labor workers all working together to defeat malicious paratroopers and army seal soldiers.
