Or maybe the idiot is the person who uses a term like r/woosh that a small, reddit-using portion of the population would know. When using a public site used by people of all backgrounds, ages, genders and ethnicities, I think it behooves us all to communicate using common terms that would be understood by all. For example, it's not a good idea to reference (without explanation) quotes from songs, movies and books etc as only people who are familiar with those songs, movies and books could possibly understand what you're talking about. In short, use language that can be understood by everyone, not a small subset of the population
