I'm not the most eloquent speaker, so I would like to borrow a few words from Shakespeare. "Love is not love which alters when it altercation finds. "When life gets hard, when things change, true love remains the same. I look at Nathan and Haley and some how I feel safer. I don't know if I can explain that, but they give me hope. And, I'm afraid to say it out loud because if life finds out it'll try to beat it out of them and that will be a shame."

But you never really get to know them... until you listen for what's in their hearts and that's what Haley did with Nathan. That's what we should do for them. That's why I'm here, to make sure that my daughter is not completely exploited by her parasitic so-called friend. So, you get your little act together before you ruin her life too.

Look, I know I did a horrible thing, ok? But I deserve to be punished for that, not Haley. She's a good person and she'd be a great mother if... Look I know it must suck how people are always asking for things and never giving anything back. And I know that Keith saved me at the bridge, but Haley saved me a long time before that accident. There has to be a miracle left for her, please, please. Don't take her from me, Don't take our child away from her.

If I play basketball, is no longer a decision for me to make alone. It's a decision that I'll make with my wife and my family best interest at heart. And when I do, I'll let you all know. As uh many of you know, I called this press conference today to announce where I plan to play basketball in college. I've had a lot of great offers but it's always been my dream to play at Duke University. So uh that's where I plan to go. But, you know, my father said that today would be the greatest day of my life. And your right Dad, it is, but it's not because of basketball.

It's not about that Luke. I mean, I thought it was, but this is not about her. This is about me. I love you Lucas, and I probably always will. But, we go days without having meaningful conversation. And, I used to miss you so much when that happened. But, it never seemed like you missed me. And, I guess because of it I stopped missing you. I mean, look at today there was a horrible accident and you hadn't even called me... it shouldn't be like this Luke. I'm sorry. I can't do this anymore.

Before we end the night I just want to say a few words about Nathan and Haley. I told them once, not too long ago to be happy because someday they'd make us all believe in true love. And, they do. In a few days they're going to renew that love for all of us to see. But, in a way we see it everyday. The only difference is that Haley will look fabulous in her dress by Clothes Over Bros. One rainy day Nathan Scott proposed to Haley James and the rest is a fairy tale.
