Led Zeppelin - Ten Years Gone
Then, as it was, then again it will be. Though the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea. Blind skies of fortune each have separate ways. On the wings of maybe, downing birds of prey. Kind of makes me feel sometimes, didn't have to grow. But as the eagle leaves the nest, he's got so far to go.

The Deserter, Disco Elysium - The Mask
I'd seen it. I'd seen the mask of humanity fall from capital. It has to take it off to kill everyone - everything you love; all the hope and tenderness in the world. It has to take it off, just for one second. To do the deed. And then you see it. As it strangles and beats your friends to death... the sweetest, most courageous people in the world. You see the fear and power in its eyes. Then you know. Know the bourgeois are not human.

No, we're not soulmates. This is not divine intervention. And this is most certainly not chance. I willed this. I knit the threads of fate myself until they spelled your name. I love you intentionally. I love you with every bit of conscience I was born with.

Kiwi66 - What is the average speed for an at home typist ?
I have been practicing my typing for approximately 14 months now. Trying to get better so that maybe I can get a remote or at home typing or data entry job. And have gone from about 15 wpm to 35 - 40 wpm average. When it occurred to me I don't even know what the requirements are for those positions. It could take me years to get that fast! The computer world is a smorgasbord of opportunity, and I think it all starts with typing.

Elisabeth Elliot - Quote from "Through The Gates of Splendor"
Every ounce counted in a plane of this type. When Nate found that the streamlined wheel covers were collecting mud, he took them off. Characteristically, Nate turned this to a spiritual illustration: "When life's flight is over, and we unload our cargo at the other end, the fellow who got rid of unnecessary weight will have the most valuable cargo to present the Lord."

phagocytecl2 - Just chill
In the past when I was having a bad hair day or feeling insecure about my outfit, I would let that insecurity fully manifest itself: I'd slouch when I walk and act sheepish, etc. But one day I realized that no matter what I think is wrong with my look, slouching won't help (unless I'm very specifically trying to hide my boobs). So might as well act chill and stride along with confidence.

Karl Marx - Fixed Capital & Circulating Capital
This part of the constant capital gives up value to the product in proportion to the exchange-value that it loses together with its use-value. The extent to which the value of such a means of production is given up or transferred to the product that it helps to fashion is determined by an average calculation; it is measured by the average duration of its function, from the time it enters the production process as a means of production to the time it is completely used up, is dead.

rakeswain
I wanted to be born as a star but someone had a different idea. That's how I ended up as a street lamp. I die too soon and flicker too much. But yesterday I saw a moth trying to kiss me. It almost burned her. I have heard stars do not get this luxury.

Malcolm in the Middle - Lois Ordering for the Family
One salad with light dressing and three grande chili stampedes. One with extra onions, one with extra beans and extra onions, and one with extra beans and extra, extra onions.

A H Shahan - Future of AI
In 2024, global investments in artificial intelligence (AI) will reach $150 billion. Companies like Google Alphabet Inc. and Microsoft NASDAQ: MSFT have led the charge. AI's applications, from healthcare to finance, have transformed industries. For example, 85 percent of customer interactions were managed by AI systems. The focus was on ethical AI, with frameworks ensuring transparency and fairness. Researchers emphasized the importance of unbiased data. Governments have allocated $20 billion...

Oikawa - Talent and Sense
Have you found the limits of your abilities? People who are naturally better than you have been different from you since the day you were born. No matter how hard you work, you can't change that. You can complain after you've actually done everything you possibly can. Today might be the day you seize the chance to let your talent bloom. I'm not sure if physique has anything to do with it, but if you think it'll never come, it probably never will.

Dragon Found by Sam Hall - On Autonomy
A woman. No an adult. Every day I got up and ensured my own survival with no help... I might be young. I might be inexperienced, but no one can take my autonomy from me, not without my permission.

Kirstin Williams - My furry loves
When I look in my dogs eyes I feel the love of the millions of animals that couldn't. And I wonder if maybe somewhere I am reaching them and letting them know that they deserve love too. And I also feel they they deserve to cross the road just as we can be on the road. So just take your foot off the gas if you see an animal near the road. If its a squirrel honk your horn and they will hear where you are and go the other way.

Anonymous - Musings
I wonder very often. I wonder about the world and the people in it. I wonder about the way those people go about their lives and what they think and how they feel. I wonder, maybe most of all, if anyone wonders about me. How do others see me? How do I look to them? I've been told I daydream too much, that my mind wanders around father than it should. I wonder if they only say those things because they haven't let their minds wonder enough at all.

Oscar Wilde
If a friend of mine gave a feast, and did not invite me to it, I should not mind a bit. But if a friend of mine had a sorrow and refused to allow me to share it, I should feel it most bitterly. If he shut the doors of the house of mourning against me, I would move back again and again and beg to be admitted so that I might share in what I was entitled to share. If he thought me unworthy, unfit to weep with him, I should feel it as the most poignant humiliation.

Bridgerton - Anthony's declaration of love
I love you. I've loved you from the moment we raced each other in that park. I've loved you at every dance, on every walk, every time we've been together, and every time we've been apart. You do not have to accept it or embrace it or even allow it. Knowing you, you probably will not. But you must know it, in your heart. You must feel it, because I do. I love you..

Thomas Pynchon - Gravity's Rainbow - In the Zone (first paragraph)
We are safely past the days of the Eis-Heiligen - St. Pancratius, St. Servatius, St. Bonifacius, die kalte Sophie... they hover in clouds above the vineyards, holy beings of ice, ready with a breath, an intention, to ruin the year with frost and cold. In certain years, especially War years, they are short on charity, peevish, smug in their power: not quite saintly or even Christian. The prayers of growers and wine enthusiasts must reach them, but there's no telling how the ice-saints feel.

SamRioE - Happy Words
I find it funny that there are words in the human language that people like. Words that are fun to say or feel good to say. I like the word "jumbotron." I like the word "Escondido" and will just randomly say it.

Nick Wilson - Jessica
It took some time and I'm no better for it, just tired and unsure. I might be damaged and unfixable but at least I don't think of her anymore. No, at least I don't think of her anymore. I don't think of Jessica at all... is what I tell myself to ease the fall. Maybe if I say it, I'll believe it after all. I don't think of Jessica at all.

Pierce Brown - Red Rising
I live for the dream that my children will be born free. That they will be what they like. That they will own the land their father gave them.' 'I live for you,' I say sadly. She kisses my cheek. 'Then you must live for more.
