This was the Captain Samuel Vimes 'Boots' theory of socio-economic unfairness.

Murder was in fact a fairly uncommon event in Ankh-Morpork, but there were a lot of suicides. Walking in the night-time alleyways of The Shades was suicide. Asking for a short in a dwarf bar was suicide. Saying 'Got rocks in your head?' to a troll was suicide. You could commit suicide very easily, if you weren't careful.

They stop being married to each other on that day.

My depression comes in waves. One week I can feel fine every time I wake up and the next is the opposite. Either I have the energy to complete everything I need, or I have little to no motivation to even brush my teeth. My depression is more than just being sad or tired. It is draining to the point where I am trying with everything I have to do something but my body just won't let me. Depression is a battle in the body, and most of the time I lose.

Which is not an unreasonable position. Trying to maximize the tissue you save also maximizes the chances of something going wrong. Which means you've gotta be extra careful.
