- My Opinion On Typing
I don't get why there are so many quotes on this website where people say they wrote a short quote so that people don't have to try as hard on it. To me, the point of this website is to be challenged so that you can become a better touch typist. It's not to choose the easy way out so you can have a higher WPM. You will only be skilled at typing once you actually try to become better and challenge yourself.

Usually, I don't care about grammar and the changes of the English language, but there are a few examples where it makes the word pretty much unusable. The word nonplussed means very surprised or confused, which is the opposite of how it's usually used. This means if I use it the correct way, most people won't understand, but the wrong way, and people who know the right way will come after me.

It turned out that the sweet-talking, tattoo-sporting pikey was a gypsy bare-knuckle boxing champion. Which makes him harder than a coffin nail. Right now, that's the last thing on Tommy's mind. If Gorgeous doesn't wake up in the next few minutes Tommy knows he'll be buried with him. Why would the gypsies go through the trouble of explaining why a man died in their campsite when they can bury the pair of them and just move camp? It's not like they got social security numbers, is it?

You would never believe some of the things that have happened to her! She was sexually abused as an adolescent; as a teenager she abused drugs, ran away from home, stole a car, and ended up in girl's school. Got her high school diploma while she was there. Once home, she got pregnant. Her father passed away, unexpectedly, two weeks before her child was born. Being his only living relative, she had to bury him, at 17! She was in two physically abusive relationships! And she's still standing.

The government in Syria does all it can to make them feel that they are Arabs and they have nothing to do with their own culture and language.
